CONSTITUTION OF THE INTERNATIONAL NUCLEAR CHEMISTRY SOCIETY (INCS)

ARTICLE 1

The name of the society has been determined as “International Nuclear Chemistry Society” with the acronym of INCS.

ARTICLE 2

The general aim of the INCS determined to be a bridge between individuals, institutions, and commercial companies and to establish close cooperation between them worldwide.

ARTICLE 3

The scope of INCS is intended to be a large umbrella which covers all scientists dealing with chemical studies and applications of radioactive materials and nuclear radiation in all fields of science and technology with the understanding that Nuclear Chemistry is a branch which covers all kinds of chemical studies related to radioactive materials and nuclear radiation and to their applications in different fields of science and technology.

ARTICLE 4

The main goals of the INCS are determined by the items given below:

ARTICLE 5

The INCS Headquarters will be in the country of the elected President and in the city where his / her institution is located.

ARTICLE 6

The INCS will be managed by the elected President with his/her close cooperation with elected Presidential Board members according to the Rules and Regulations described in this constitution until the subsequent General Assembly.

ARTICLE 7

The candidate names of INCS President and of Presidential Board Members are recommended by the delegates to the Management Committee President of Assembly either in oral or written form before the voting. The same President and Presidential Board members may be elected again.

ARTICLE 8

The Presidential Board consists of the INCS President and six members who will be elected by votes of delegates who actively joined the General Assembly.

ARTICLE 9

The INCS offers memberships under three different categories to be Individual Membership, Institutional Membership, and Industrial membership.

ARTICLE 10

Regular General Assemblies will be managed by a Management Committee which consists of President and two Reporters and will be elected by the votes of delegates at the beginning of each assembly.

ARTICLE 11

Regular General Assemblies is opened by the President or a member of the Presidential Board nominated by the President.

ARTICLE 12

Regular General Assemblies will be held during each International Nuclear Chemistry Congress which will be repeated at three years intervals and will include all registered participants of these congresses and of the registered members of INCS. All these delegates will have equal votes during these assemblies. A list of names and home countries of delegates present in the Assembly will be signed by each delegate before the start of the Assembly.

ARTICLE 13

The agendas of the assemblies will be prepared by the Presidential Office of the INCS before the holding of each assembly. The agenda will be put to the vote of delegates by the President of the Management Committee. Following its approval by the assembly, the President of the Management Committee will pass to the next items of the agenda.

ARTICLE 14

All elections expected in this constitution will be applied with a mode of “open vote” and “show hand”, and the decisions will be based on the majority votes of delegates present in the Assembly.

ARTICLE 15

At the end of the assembly, a minutes will be prepared containing the decisions made during the assembly and signed by the President and the Reporters of the Management Committee.

ARTICLE 16

Following the establishment of the Presidential Board, the President will call the Board members for a meeting just after the General Assembly. In this meeting an Associate President and a General Secretary will be nominated and the strategies will be discussed for the general goals of the INCS.

ARTICLE 17

All registered delegates who participated in the last assembly, will automatically obtain full membership rights of INCS during the next assembly without requesting a membership fee; but, these memberships will only be valid up to the end of the next assembly. Then, these memberships should be renewed with payment of membership fees.

ARTICLE 18

New members will be registered with payment of a membership fee which will be determined by the Presidential Board taking into account the economic potential of the members’ local countries.

ARTICLE 19

Congress organizers will apply two different categories of congress registration fees which will be for “Non-INCS Members” and “INCS Members” and accept in advance to transfer the total amount of the difference of registration fees between the congress participants who paid the registration fees in the category of Non-INCS Members and in the category of INCS Members, to the account of INCS within one month after the end of each congress.

ARTICLE 20

The INCS will accept all donations and economic contributions offered by legal scientific and social organizations and commercial companies from all around the world.

ARTICLE 21

Individuals registered as Individual member of INCS two months prior of each congress will benefit from about 30 – 35 % reduction for the full registration fee of the next International Nuclear Chemistry Congress.

ARTICLE 22

Participants coming from Institutions registered to be an Institutional Member of INCS two months prior to each congress, will benefit from about 30 – 35 % reduction for the full registration fee of the next congress and these institutions will be preferential institutions for future activities of INCS and particularly their young staff members will preferentially benefit from summer schools, courses, grants, etc. which will be organized by INCS in the next three years.

ARTICLE 23

Commercial companies registered to be an Industrial Member of INCS two months prior of each congress, will benefit from about 30 – 35 % reduction for stand rental fees in the next Congress and these companies will be preferential companies to rent the stands in the following congresses and their products and services will be recommended by INCS to their members.

ARTICLE 24

The Regional Representatives of the INCS will be nominated by the General Assemblies being for Europe, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Asia-Pacific, North America, South America, Central Africa, Middle East and North Africa.

ARTICLE 25

The country and the name of the main Organizer of the next International Nuclear Chemistry Congress will be determined by the votes of delegates at the end of each assembly.
